2. The vessel’s history
A pioneering vessel
The maxi-catamaran “Région de Picardie” is an iconic French multihull. Built from carbon fiber by Gino Morrelli,
it was one of the first large racing multhulls in Europe to utilize this technology.
Its history is intertwined with the golden age of offshore racing and the innovations that
shaped the evolution of multihulls.
The vessel now holds “Heritage Vessel” status and is certified as an NUC (Heritage Use Vessel) for 18 people.
